Bohol is located in central Philippines approximately 650 kilometers south of Manila, and is accessible by air and sea.
Coming from other countries, there are 3 options to reach Bohol:
1. Direct flight to Manila, then to Tagbilaran City. A direct flight takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. For time tables and rates please check: www.philippineairlines.com
2. Direct flight to Cebu, then take a boat to Tagbilaran city.
International flights to Cebu are the most convenient but these flights are limited. International airlines that fly directly to Cebu are Silk Air, Malaysian Airlines, and Cathay Pacific. Please check their time tables and rates.
3. Flights from Manila to Cebu- daily for Philippine Airlines. Some other airlines are Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines, Asian Spirit, Astro Air and Grand Air. Please check for their time tables and rates. (This is only adviceable if you want to stop and see Manila and Cebu for sightseeing before going to Bohol)
Another route to Bohol-Cebu/Cebu-Bohol is by fast ferries from ports of Tubigon town, 50 kilometers from Tagbilaran city and Talibon town which is 140 kilometers fromTagbilaran.
For your best convenient, we highly recommend the ports of Tagbilaran City.
By cruise ships from Manila, it will take about 25 hours to Tagbilaran City. This is advisable only if there is plenty of time available and the traveler wants to enjoy viewing the islands along the way. And also, travel from the Manila International Airport to the Pier is a bit tricky due to heavy traffic and it might affect the Cruise ship's arriving/departure schedules.
